The teaching of mathematics in our school aims at critical and conscious knowledge, at the formation of a broader perception around the world of numbers. It is based on the active participation of the student and great importance is given to their experiential complexion. At the same time, standardized knowledge is rejected, where the student follows "blind" procedures. Instead, it is called upon to process all the data and choose a good strategy that can be followed. It also seeks to connect mathematics with the daily life and experiences of students, to connect with real projects that touch on social issues of school life (authentic learning). Thus, the interest of our students is activated and the value and functionality of mathematics emerges in the context of the real needs and interests of the students. The aim is also to link mathematics with artistic courses, such as art painting and dance, so that students become even more aware of the mathematical language, interpret it, transform it and enjoy the creativity hidden by the world of numbers.
